Why this site runs on thank-yous, and how we verify them

We are used to sites carrying both good and bad reviews. Some directories are happy to publish negative ones even when they are unfair, believing this is what objectivity looks like and what earns a client's trust.

But an unfair bad review is devastating for the person it lands on. Only Positive was built as a different kind of place: here people share gratitude for real help. We deliberately chose the thank-you as our genre, because we want it to be easy to see what a specialist is good at and what experience has already helped somebody else. And so the thank-yous can be trusted, they cannot be faked: the site has a review verification mechanism.

How to tell a good specialist

By the number of reviews. A review has to be earned — somebody has to want to come back to the site and write a few lines about you. Forty such people behind someone is no longer a coincidence. And if there are no reviews yet, that is not a verdict: nobody has told their story yet, that is all.

If you are looking for a specialist

When you are looking for someone — a tutor for your child, a therapist for yourself, a stylist you can sit down in front of without worrying — you want to know one simple thing: what is this person like to work with? A profile will not tell you that. Reviews will. They hold what never fits in a CV: explains it so that it finally makes sense; does not push; will calmly go over it a third time; pulled a failing grade up a month before the exam.

In effect you are asking advice from the people who walked this path before you. And you end up choosing not «the best one» but the one who suits you.

If you are a specialist

Good work usually goes unnoticed: you helped, you were thanked, and that was the end of it — nobody else ever knew. Here that thank-you stays with you. On your page, in their own words, from real people.

Over time those words add up to something advertising cannot buy: the story of how you work, told by the people you have already helped. A new client does not have to take your word for it — they can see what others thank you for.

And one more thing that matters to many: you can work here in peace. Your page will not turn into a stage for public arguments — if someone is left with a complaint, we deal with it in support, not in front of your future clients.

Collecting reviews here is free

Your profile and your reviews cost nothing. Collect as many thank-yous as you like — each one appears on your page straight away, open to anyone who visits. There is no «first three reviews free» here.

You are free to hand your page's link around, too. Send it to someone who is choosing and hesitating, and they will read for themselves what people who have already come to you say. That is more convincing than anything you could say about yourself. The profile menu has «Copy link» and a QR code that is easy to show straight from your phone.

How we treat criticism

If a specialist was not right for you, that is not a reason to leave public bile on the platform. You can always choose someone else. If the rules of the service were seriously broken, we look into it through support.

What we are here for is to help people find those they are ready to trust, and to share good experiences openly and calmly.
