How to choose the right specialist quickly

Looking for a specialist is exhausting: you open a dozen profiles, they all look decent, and you still cannot decide. Here it can be done faster. This is the order that works.

1. Start with the service, not with people

Open the specialist search and press the circle for what you need — mathematics, psychology, hairdressing. The list narrows at once to the people who do it, and dozens of irrelevant profiles fall away on their own.

2. Look at the number of reviews — the list is already sorted by it

The number of positive reviews is the rating here: specialists are listed from most to fewest, so the people thanked most often are already at the top. It is the most honest guide we can give you — it is earned only by real work, and it cannot be bought.

When several people at the top have a good count, the reviews themselves help you choose between them. Look at what repeats: if several clients in a row mention patience, that is a character trait, not a coincidence; if they mention the result of an exam, that is what this person is good at.

3. Shortlist two or three, not one

A profile usually shows the services, the format, the price, and whether the person works with children or adults. Do not try to find the single right one — pick two or three who are closest to what you need. Then you will not have to start over if the first one does not work out.

4. Write, and ask the simplest questions

Short practical questions work better than long ones: when they have time free, what it costs, how a first meeting goes, where to start. The answers tell you almost immediately whether you are comfortable with this person — and that matters more than any credential.

5. Do not put off the first step

There is no perfect option, and a search can stretch out for weeks. If you are torn between two or three, choose the one whose reviews spoke to you most, and arrange a first meeting. One meeting will tell you more about a person than ten more profiles.
